The Town of Yarmouth will be accepting sealed tenders for the purpose of awarding a contract to provide snow clearing and removal for parking facilities throughout the town. This contract will be for a one-year period starting upon award until March 31, 2025.

Town of Yarmouth Tender – Trucking of Highway Salt 2024/2025 Season

The Town of Yarmouth invites tenders for the delivery of bulk highway salt from the Canadian Salt Company in Pugwash, NS, to the Public Works salt shed at 227 Pleasant Street in Yarmouth, NS for the 2024/2025 winter season.
The salt storage shed holds up to 300 tonnes of salt and is to be replenished throughout the winter season as required. The total quantity of salt to be hauled is approximately 1,500 tonnes.

Request for Proposal - Culture, Parks, & Recreation Master Plan

The Town of Yarmouth is inviting qualified individuals and/or firms to submit a proposal for the creation of a Culture, Parks, and Recreation Master Plan. This plan shall incorporate all three themes into one plan, with the ability to extract each theme and assign as appropriate.
The Town recognizes that there is a difference between the needs of a rural community and Town and is seeking a master plan that addresses the specific needs and desires of our citizens.
The master plan will articulate the Town’s vision, mission, values, priorities, and guide planning and operational activities for the next ten years. The plan should link to provincial and federal strategies, and other priority plans and projects within the Town. These include, but are not limited to active transportation, climate change, healthy living, and accessibility. The plans will serve as a strategic roadmap to ensure that our community’s recreational, cultural, and green spaces align with the evolving needs of our residents.

Backhoe - Rubber Tire Four Wheel Drive 2024

We propose to purchase a new 2024 or current model year rubber tired four-wheel drive backhoe complete with loader bucket, backhoe buckets, and quick hitch coupler. The following manufacturers and models may be considered acceptable for this tender: John Deere 410, CAT 430, Case 580, or approved equivalents.

Request for Proposals: Pumper Tanker and Rescue Pumper

The Town of Yarmouth is accepting request for proposals (RFP) for a Pumper Tanker and Rescue Pumper to compliment its emergency fleet. Sealed proposals will be received until Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., local time. A tentative delivery date and regular status updates must be provided. The apparatus shall meet or exceeded NFPA 1901, Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus (2016 edition), and CAN/ULC-S515-13, Standard for Automobile Fire Fighting Apparatus, regarding its use as a pumper tanker. The RFP price must remain valid for thirty (30) days from the date of the RFP opening. Any bidders on this ( RFP) must concentrate on the durability and performance of their proposed apparatus and not its looks or extra perks.
ADDENDUM Tuesday, May 7, 2024: The closing date has been extended.
Proposals must be received by 3:00 p.m. on the closing date, Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The bid opening will be on the same day at 3:00 pm. All tenders must be submitted in sealed envelopes, clearly marked “Town of Yarmouth Rescue Pumper”. No RFP will be accepted through fax or electronic media.
