A Great Community Space for Any Event
For many years, the upstairs of the Yarmouth Fire Hall was a popular gathering space. From weddings to fundraisers to community dances, the fire hall offered an excellent space for a variety of events. After the space became unusable for a period of time, the Town of Yarmouth made an investment and undertook a major renovation in 2020. After nearly six months of extenisve work, the hall once again became a bright, welcoming and functional space. Every surface including the ceilings were fully refurbished. Major washroom upgrades were carried out including a fully accessible, barrier-free washroom with an adult change table. The hall also now offers a beautifully renovated kitchen and bar along with a new HVAC system.

“For so many years the upper floor at the hall was a big part of who we are, especially when it comes to the volunteers. They relied on it for all kinds of fundraising and community events. When it became unusable, they lost some of their place within the organization and didn’t have a home. This renovation is big as it brings back a place that was special for them and the entire department.” - Yarmouth Fire Chief Mike Deveau
