Partner organizations
Many partner organizations are joint efforts between municipalities, local groups and provincial agencies. They work together on projects that make the region safer, greener and more enjoyable.
Why we partner
- Share services that keep the region safe and well maintained (police, fire, emergency management).
- Coordinate environmental and recycling programs to protect the coast and reduce waste.
- Support regional economic development and tourism.
- Plan and deliver community programs and facilities more efficiently.
Regional role
Yarmouth is a regional economic hub. About 70% of people who work in the town live elsewhere in the region.
