Here are the costs for processing various applications or printing official documents. You can also find the town's by-laws and strategies online (though note that the bylaws provided online are for informational purposes only). Building Bylaw Fees

Commercial Development $0.20 per sq. ft. or
1% ($10) per $1000 estimated cost of construction, whichever is less.
Residential Development $0.10 per sq. ft. or
1% ($10) per $1000 estimated cost of construction, whichever is less.
Demolition Permit* $50.00 + $10.00 = $60.00
Occupancy Permit* $25.00 + $10.00 = $35.00

* The $10.00 is a non-refundable processing fee.

Waste Park Fees

Looking to get rid of some garbage, compost, or building materials? To help maintain and run the Yarmouth County Waste Park, tipping fees are charged to companies who bring waste to the Waste Park, companies who pickup weekly household garbage, and any resident who brings waste to the Waste Park that exceeds the allowable weekly limit. Residents of Yarmouth County can drop off residential waste up to 200kg/household per week at the transfer station before being charged a fee.

Note: Any car motors or similar waste must have all fluids removed. There is a double tipping fee for all materials that are improperly sorted – be sure to sort your waste and save some money!
