The W. Laurence Sweeney Fisheries Museum is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Seasonal Museum Interpreter.
In this role you will bring life to the history of one of Nova Scotia’s most significant fishing and shipping enterprises.
You will engage visitors as they explore the Sweeney marine heritage through unique exhibits, including a simulated traditional fishing wharf featuring fish processing, ship repair sheds, wharf decks, and a coastal freighter.
Your experience in tourism, hospitality or a museum environment, combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills, will enable you to effectively share your knowledge about the Fisheries Museum as well as other local tourism and cultural attractions. Position Details:
- 1 Temporary Position – July 6, 2026 to August 28, 2026
- 35 hours per week
- Compensation: $16.75/hour
