This is to serve notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth at its meeting on Thursday, August 14th, 2025 at 6:30 pm, at Yarmouth Town Hall, 400 Main Street, approved the following:
The rezoning of four Town-owned lots located at 56 Tooker Street, 37 Argyle Street, 22 Chester Street, and 4 Bond Street
The proposed rezonings represent a necessary step to implement Council-approved 'Housing Action Plan' designed to increase affordable housing units in Yarmouth. The Housing Action Plan is associated with and funded by the Government of Canada Housing Accelerator Fund.
There are no planned developments for any of the lots at this time. The Council approval changes the zoning of the subject lots only. Feeding Wild Animals Bylaw
Council approved amendments recommended by staff to add new sections to the bylaw regarding the feeding of birds, the conditions that need to be met for feeding, and any permissions required.
