The Housing Design Catalogue is a new initiative introduced by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) to make building new homes easier. It offers free, standardized housing plans for different regions of Canada.

The Town of Yarmouth Fire Department is establishing a pool of qualified applicants for upcoming opportunities. All candidates who have applied since July 2025 will be placed in the pool automatically. The applicant pool will be reviewed in late January 2026.

Notice of Second Reading - Repeal of Idling Control Bylaw

This is to serve notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth, at its meeting on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, at 6:30 pm, at town hall, 400 Main Street, will consider and, if deemed advisable, approve second reading to repeal the Idling Control Bylaw. While the bylaw was introduced to have a positive impact, it has proven to be impossible to enforce.
Written submissions with questions, concerns, or comments will be considered at the time of the readings. They may be delivered to town hall, or by emailing: admin@townofyarmouth.ca
