Yarmouth's ferry terminal is a vital link between our town (often called "the gateway to Nova Scotia") and the United States. In 2022, Bay Ferries will be running The CAT high speed ferry service between Yarmouth and Bar Harbour, Maine. Trip length is 3.5 hours. Check their website for details and to book your crossing today.
The ferry terminal includes an office of Canada Border Services for entrants to Canada. The town is also home to one of the major Nova Scotia Visitor Information Centres and the Nova Scotia Tourism Contact Centre.
As the owner/operator of the terminal, the Town of Yarmouth is currently leading a redevelopment project. Phase 1 of redevelopment began in the spring of 2019 and is set to be completed by spring of 2022. For more details, please visit our project information page on our Get Involved Yarmouth site.
