The ALS Walk Strong Yarmouth is a community walk taking place on Saturday, May 30th at Beacon Park in Yarmouth. This event is part of ALS Walk Strong 2026, a series of walks held across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to raise awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and support people living with the disease.
This will be the first ALS Walk Strong event hosted in Yarmouth and will serve as the kickoff to the 2026 walk season. The walk is hosted by the ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in partnership with the 2026 Walk Ambassador, Mark Hustins. Participants will gather at Beacon Park, with a welcome table opening at 10:30 AM and the walk beginning at 11:00 AM. The event is family friendly, open to all ages, and free to attend.
Attendees will walk together along a designated route within the park and return to the starting area. No road closures are required. The purpose of the event is to bring the community together in support of people living with ALS, promote awareness, and highlight the importance of community based support services. Event organizers will ensure the site is respected, left clean, and used in accordance with park guidelines.
