Notice of Public Hearing
- Details
- Category: Community News
A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, November 16th, at 6:30 pm in council chambers of Yarmouth Town Hall, 400 Main Street. Members of the public can attend and speak at the hearing, or hand in written submissions. Written submissions may delivered to town hall or emailed to admin@townofyarmouth.ca and must be received by November 10th at 4 pm.
What is the Hearing About?
The Town received an application for a Development Agreement from the property owners to add short-term rentals as a permitted use at 24 Albert Street (PID# 90210386). The property is currently zoned Low-Density Residential (R-1) and has an existing building containing two (2) units.
The property owners are now applying to allow the units to be used as dwellings or short-term rentals, or a combination of the two. The proposed Development Agreement does not require the property owner(s) or short-term rental host to reside on-site.
How Will This Affect Me?
The proposed Development Agreement will allow units in the existing building to be used as residential dwellings and/or short-term rentals. These changes will only apply to this property.
