At last Thursday’s regular council meeting, the operational budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year was tabled for council approval. Budget highlights include no increase to tax rates, and the town becoming debt-free next month.

On Friday, June 9th, a 100th-anniversary commemoration event will take place at the Yarmouth Cenotaph (War Memorial) at 11 am. There will be a temporary street closure and a change in the transit route to accommodate this important event.

The solitary soldier atop the war memorial in Yarmouth is 100 years old. The Town of Yarmouth is planning a commemorative event on Friday, June 9 at 11 a.m. to mark the 100th anniversary of its unveiling.
