Just a quick update on snow clearing and removal after the storm. We received a solid dumping of snow combined with steady wind gusts, resulting in snowbanks throughout our downtown streets and sidewalks.

This takes time to clear, and we appreciate everyone's patience as crews do the work. Here is an update as of 11 am this Tuesday morning:

➡ With streets cleared, work continues today on clearing sidewalks and active living trails, as well as crosswalk openings. This includes clearing sidewalks and trails on main arteries, as well as side streets. The goal is to have all sidewalks and crosswalk openings cleared as soon as possible.

➡ Tonight (after 12 AM) crews will begin to remove snow from Main Street in the downtown core. Again, we thank everyone for their patience as we clean up after a significant storm.

Please Note: while we highly encourage the use of our reporting tool "SeeClickFix", please refrain from using it to report an uncleared sidewalk. Our crews know what needs to be completed and will clear all sidewalks as soon as possible.
