Please be advised there will be no transit service on Wednesday, February 4th, due to a mandatory safety inspection.
Note to Transit Riders: the Town of Yarmouth has two transit buses. However, one was involved in a serious accident several months ago, and had to be sent back to the manufacturer for extensive repairs.
Since that time, the service has been operating with one bus. Mechanical and maintenance issues are bound to occur with the bus operating six days per week, so disruptions in the service are unavoidable.
Here's the good news: we will have the second bus returned very soon! This will give the current bus a rest and help reduce downtime of the service.
