Please be advised of the following bylaw and bylaw amendment approvals.

Notice of Approval

Take notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth did, at their meeting on Thursday, September 10th, 2020, approve the following proposals:

Feeding Wild Animals Bylaw - Under the bylaw, the feeding of wildlife such as deer or other non-domesticated animals is now prohibited within the town of Yarmouth. Any person who contravenes any provision of this Bylaw is punishable on summary conviction by a fine of not less than $50.00 and not more than $1000.00.

Amendments to Destruction of Documents Bylaw - The amendment updates language and allows for the clerk to assign a designate who may also carry out document destruction.

The effective date of the bylaw and amendments is the date of publication of this notice.

Take notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth did, at their meeting on Thursday, October 8th, 2020, approve the following proposals:

Swimming Pool Bylaw - The updated bylaw allows for a larger variety of construction material and design options relative to new pool enclosures while providing regulations specific to hot tubs. The goal of the proposal is to prevent accidental drownings while enabling design flexibility.

Amendments to Council Meetings Bylaw - The amendment allows for the removal of the names of the mover and seconder of motions made from official meeting minutes going forward.
