New Century Restaurant

Open since 2007, we are a full services restaurant specializing in Chinese and Canadian food. New Century offers authentic Chinese cuisine with 200+ dishes to choose from. Weekend buffet available and special request orders are accepted. Eat in or Take out.

What would be your signature product/service or menu item?

Some of our signature menu would be the Cantonese chow mein and lo mein noodle. We also have the sutra style spicy food that tends to be a very popular item.

Why did you choose this type of business?

After working in a Chinese restaurant for 20 years I decided to open a restaurant in Nova Scotia. After awhile of looking for the right spot to open and not finding anything, I found Yarmouth. The town seemed to have a vibrant community and surrounding areas seemed to flock to Yarmouth for shopping and the restaurants that were here. For this reason and the large fishing industry in the area I decided to open my restaurant in Yarmouth.

What is your favorite aspect of being a business owner?

My favorite aspect is cooking the food for people and hearing people talk about how good it was. I enjoy sharing my food with people; I really care about the customers and hope to give them incredible food that will create a memory.

Where do you see your business in the next year or five years?

I would like to see my customer base grow; I would love to server more local people and tourist at my restaurant and have them enjoy our food.
