Happy Feet Orthotics is a people driven business helping people stay mobile and active in their lives; pain free. Owner Michael Innis has over 25 years experience in custom foot orthotics and footwear modifications.

Why did you choose this type of business?

I’ve been in this business for 27 years now; it’s been a family business that’s been going the last six generations. We used to have an office in Kingston and we were doing a clinic here in Clare and we were getting more people from Yarmouth. We thought there’s nothing keeping us in Kingston and came to Yarmouth and it was an excellent move for us.

Where do you see your business in the next year and the next 5 years?

We just got a new diagnostic system called the F-scan system and were the only one in Nova Scotia that has one which sets us apart a bit. With that, in one year I’d like to see us with at least 2 research projects being presented at international conferences. In five years I want to see this business basically run the whole South West Nova.
