The Town of Yarmouth is tendering for a Heavy-Rescue to compliment its emergency fleet.  The apparatus shall meet or exceeds, N.F.P.A. 1901 (2016 edition), Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus, in regards to its use as a heavy-rescue.  Any bidders on this tender must concentrate on the durability and performance of their proposed apparatus and not its appearance or extra perks.

Proposals must be received by 3:00 p.m. on the closing date, the 4th of January, 2018. The bid opening will be on the same day at 4:00 p.m. All tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Town of Yarmouth Heavy Rescue Tender”.  No tenders will be accepted through fax or electronic media.
The Town of Yarmouth reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and accept any bid that, in its judgement, is in its best interest.  Questions in regards to anything within the tender must be submitted in writing (email, mailed paper copy, or fax) to the undersigned.

Parking Lot - Snow Clearing & Removal 2017 Season

Sealed Tenders plainly marked on the envelope “Tender Town of Yarmouth – Snow Clearing & Removal – 2017 Winter Season” will be received by the office of the CAO, 400 Main Street, Yarmouth, NS, B5A 1G2, up to 3:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, October 24, 2017.  Late tenders will not be considered and will be returned unopened.  Fax or telephone bids will not be accepted.

The work includes six parking lots within the boundaries of the Town of Yarmouth.  The work generally involves the clearing lots of snow accumulation, salting and sanding of lots as required, and removal and disposal of accumulated snow.

The lowest or any tender may not be accepted.  The Town reserves the right to reject any or all tenders or to accept any tender that may be considered in the best interest of the Town of Yarmouth.

Trucking of Highway Bulk Salt - 2017/2018 Season

The Town of Yarmouth invites tenders for the delivery of bulk highway salt from the Canadian Salt Company in Pugwash, NS, to the Public Works salt shed at 227 Pleasant Street in Yarmouth, NS for the 2017/2018 winter season.

The salt storage shed holds up to 300 tonnes of salt and is to be replenished throughout the winter season as required.  The total quantity of salt to be hauled is approximately 1,500 tonnes.

Starr's Road Multi-Use Trail Contract 171008.00

Sealed tenders plainly marked on the envelope “Tender for the Town of Yarmouth – Starr’s Road Multi-Use Trail, Contract 171008.00” will be received by the undersigned at the office of the Town of Yarmouth, 400 Main Street, Yarmouth, N. S. B5A 1G2, up to 3:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

This project is located in the Town of Yarmouth on Starr’s Road. The work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to: the construction of an asphalt surfaced multi-use trail complete with bedding gravels and curbs. The work also involves site furnishings such as waste receptacles, bike rack and bench complete with all hardware and accessories.

Contract documents may be obtained at the Town of Yarmouth, 400 Main Street, Yarmouth, N. S., after 12 noon on Wednesday, September 6th, 2017, upon payment of a $50.00 cheque payable to the Town of Yarmouth. Document fee is not refundable.

Contract documents will be available for viewing at the Construction Association of Nova Scotia, Plans Room, 260 Brownlow Avenue, Unit 3, Dartmouth, N. S., and the Town of Yarmouth. Firms must have purchased documents from the Town of Yarmouth in order for their tender to be considered valid.

Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque drawn on a Canadian chartered bank or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount payable.

Request For Proposals - Governance And Boundary Review Study

Sealed proposals will be received at the Town Hall, 400 Main Street Yarmouth, N. S. B5A 1G2, until 2:00 p.m., October 6, 2014, for the preparation of a study to review the current governance structure in the Town of Yarmouth, including the number of Council members and polling districts within the Town of Yarmouth, as required by the Municipal Government Act of Nova Scotia every 8 years.
