Simply For Life
Health is the greatest gift of all. This is what drives the people at Simply For Life, whose mission is to help you live the healthiest life possible through nutritional counselling. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, gain weight, or for help with medical issues like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, IBS, or fibromyalgia, your journey starts here.
Simply For Life has existed in Yarmouth for 14 years, recently under the ownership of Kathleen d’Entremont-Mooney. Kathleen and her team have specific meal plans tailored to particular issues – so you can achieve better health by focusing on whole foods and cutting out processed foods.
What’s your signature service?
We can change lives one at a time. If people are willing, we can show them how to turn around their health, and live a healthier lifestyle. It has to be a lifestyle change; this is not a diet. It’s not calorie-restricted to the point where you’re on a crash diet and will lose quickly. You’ll lose slowly, but we can turn people’s health around. And that’s the most important thing.
How did you get started?
I have been interested in this business for a long, long time. I helped the original owner start the business when I was working as a business counsellor, and that’s how I learned about it. And I saw the founder, Bruce Sweeney, speak in Yarmouth, and after that I was sold on the business – but I didn’t own the business. Life went on, and later in life I decided to explore this. Lo and behold, it came up for sale, so I bought it.
What inspires you to do what you do?
The fact that we can actually make such a difference for people. It’s inspiring to think that you can turn someone’s life around, if the person is willing. I just think it’s fantastic that we have this powerful tool that we can offer to our community and to the people that live here.
