Public Hearing - Sale of Lands

Yarmouth Town Council is considering the sale of the former lands of the P.A. Best Centre and the High School field to the Province of Nova Scotia for $1. Council may sell land to a not-for-profit organization below fair market value; however, where the lands are valued at over $10,000, a public hearing is required. [Municipal Government Act, Section 51(3)]. Accordingly, a Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, October 13th, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Yarmouth Town Hall.
