This is to serve notice that the Council of the Town of Yarmouth, at its meeting on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at 6:30 pm, approved amendments to the Noise Bylaw (Fireworks).
Council approved amendments to ban the use of consumer fireworks within the Town of Yarmouth, except on recognized religious holidays, Canada Day, New Year's Eve, Natal Day, the Seafest Parade of Lights, and extend the authority to the CAO to provide a written exemption for other similar events. Changes also require signage to be displayed at retail displays of fireworks, informing consumers of the ban.
