Volunteer Fire Department Association

Mayor’s Message

The heart of any community is, without exception, its volunteers. That being the case, we here in Yarmouth are richly blessed by the talent, passion and heart each of you so freely gives to the Volunteer Fire Department. A warm and sincere thank you is extended to each of you and to your families, as we know full well the sacrifice of time and more is made by both you and them. Stepping into such positions shows both leadership and community spirit and we hope you understand your tremendous value as you play such a vital role in helping our community not just survive, but thrive. Your time and commitment does not go unnoticed. It is greatly appreciated by this Council and by the citizens of the Town of Yarmouth and surrounding communities. I am a firm believer that the true test of a community comes through in its resilience to tough times and through those who believe in the community enough to step into those roles that allow us to carry on in both the good times and the tough times. It gives me great pleasure to stand with you as part of the larger team that serves this amazing Town and area. Thank you for all you do.
