Frost Park PDF Print E-mail

Frost Park, the first burying-ground in Yarmouth town was named for Sydney Frost, a Yarmouthian who became President of the Bank of Nova Scotia - one of Canada's leading banks. The second building south of the park is a picturesque interpretation of the Gothic Revival style with its gingerbread, bargeboard and shinglework. Notice the "barn" behind - these buildings should be noted for their detail.

These pictures were taken from the Grand Hotel.  The first picture was taken circa 1895, the second - circa 1910, and the third - circa 2006.

Notice the difference in roads, sidewalks, and trees.
