In November, 2008, Town Council adopted a Committee of the Whole model to replace all committees where the membership was entirely made up of Councillors. In doing so, Council consolidated Finance, Audit, Public Works, Dangerous and Unsightly Premises and the Nominating Committee into one monthly agenda, rather than having five separate meetings. The Committee of the Whole meetings provide an additional monthly opportunity for citizens to make presentations before all of Council. It also provides an additional opportunity for appeals of licensing and permitting refusals to be heard. The Committee of the Whole normally meets on the fourth Thursday of every month, at noon.
