Building permit statistics give a good guideline regarding how the economy and Town are growing.

Below are the statistics for the past 10 years.

At the beginning of the past 10 years, there was a drop in new building and renovations.  The Town of Yarmouth then hit a high in building permits and we have now leveled off again.  Even after having leveled off, the New Residential permits are more than double the highest year for permits in the last 10 years.  This record high for the last ten years reflects the growth that Yarmouth is experiencing.
