Working in cooperation with Municipal employees, volunteer groups, businesses and individual citizens, Communities in Bloom has been successful in raising the level of civic pride in our community. This pride is, of course, evident in our parks, streetscapes, and public areas, but also in the increased dialogue concerning environmental and beautification projects. The successful implementation and sustainability of Communities in Bloom depends upon the active cooperation and participation of the citizens of the town. Every effort is made to involve the community in projects ranging from litter pick-up to celebrating the Daylily! If success can be measured in numbers of participants, then we have been successful as attendance at Communities in Bloom events has risen incrementally over the last few years.

The Communities in Bloom committee enjoys and appreciates the full support and cooperation of Yarmouth Town Council. Additionally, Communities in Bloom recognizes and applauds the significant achievements of some local business owners who are leading the way in innovative waste reduction projects. The Town of Yarmouth is also home to many spectacularly lovely private gardens both historic and contemporary. We take pride in the many stately first-generation trees which grace our streets and public buildings and we celebrate the pride that our heritage home owners take in their properties.
