Mayor Mooney Welcomes Investment in Yarmouth Jobs Yarmouth Mayor Phil Mooney said the funding announcement today from Premier Darrell Dexter will help write another chapter in what has become a true Yarmouth success story. “Tri-Star Industries is known around the world as an innovative company,” said Mooney. “As a result, Yarmouth is recognized as an attractive location for business where a skilled workforce can turn out world-class products and services. This type of provincial investment will help Yarmouth build a solid foundation for a sustainable economic future.” Premier Dexter announced funding to help Tri-Star Industries expand, introduce new technology and create local jobs in Yarmouth. The Provincial funding is in addition to $195,000 in funding from ACOA announced last Thursday for marketing and promotion. “People from around the globe who deal with the professionals at Tri-Star will now be better connected to the opportunities and benefits of doing business in Yarmouth,” said Mooney. “This announcement also demonstrates the positive results that are achieved through an open and respectful working relationship between the Province and the local community.” Mooney also congratulated Tri-Star executives Keith Condon and Mitch Bonnar on developing a resourceful team of professionals in Yarmouth. “We have seen how their talent for team building has inspired our entire community with the Yarmouth Mariners. This Town truly got behind our team this year, and showed all of Canada that the people of Yarmouth have tremendous spirit and pride.” -30- For more information, contact: Philip Mooney, Mayor of Yarmouth 902-749-6442 This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
